Signature fields are the areas where a user's electronic signature is generated onto startwork documents when a person submits or approves a startwork packet.
A person's electronic signature is only generated in signature fields that correspond with the person's permissions.
An employee's signature will only appear in Crewmember signature fields.
The signature of a person who has "Approve Startwork As: Startwork Gatekeeper" permissions will only appear in Gatekeeper signature fields.
The signature of a person who has "Approve Startwork As: UPM" permissions will only appear in UPM signature fields.
The signature of a person who has "Approve Startwork As: Line Producer" permissions will only appear in Line Producer signature fields.
NOTE: In TiM, when approval signature fields are placed onto packets, corresponding approval columns appear on the Approval Pipeline. If a permission is granted, but there is no corresponding signature field on the packet, that permission will be inactive. The only exception to this rule is the Gatekeeper signature. The Startwork Gatekeeper approval step is built-in to TiM functionality and therefore this column is always included in the Approval Pipeline, even if a Gatekeeper signature is not added to startwork packets. This is to ensure there is at least one review step before a packet is considered approved.
You can add signature fields to startwork documents in Template Build, area "3. Add Fields/Markups".
