Startwork for Cast and VIPs is often handled by the Cast/VIP’s Manager, Agent, Assistant, or other third party representative. Much of the time, a Cast member or VIP doesn’t sign or even see their own Startwork documents.
If an employee wants their Agent, Manager, Assistant, or any third party to submit Startwork on their behalf, production should send the Invite to the employee's email address and then the third party representative should create a TiM User Account on behalf of their client, using their client’s / the employee's personal information.
Agents / Managers / Assistants / third party representatives SHOULD NOT create a TiM Account or complete a Profile reflecting their own information, or else the Agent's information will flow onto the Startwork instead of the employee's.
Also, TiM requires that a unique email and phone number be connected to each TiM Account. Therefore, once an email or phone number is connected to a TiM Account, TiM will not allow that email or phone number to be used again to create another Account.
- For example, if an Agent uses their firstname.lastname@example.org email address to create an Account on their client's behalf, they won't be able to create another account for the next client who needs to submit Startwork via TiM.
If an Agent / Manager / Assistant / third party representative needs to access a client's Startwork after the TiM Account has been created or the Startwork has been submitted, they can ask their client for the login credentials and then just login to the employee's TiM Account.
An Agent / Manager / Assistant / third party representative may maintain a TiM Account on behalf of their client, but it is imperative that the information within the Account reflects the information for the person they are representing.
Creating a TiM Account under the employee's information also allows the employee to access their own records at any time without assistance from a third party, and gives the employee the ability to change their login information if they need to block a previous agent from their TiM Account for any reason.
