Export Tags are used to indicate that a page or set of pages within a Template will need to be exported from TiM to allow you to export specific pages or sets of forms more swiftly.
The labels for the orange "Payroll Company" Export Tag and the blue "Studio/Prod. Co." Export Tag are built in to TiM functionality, because productions typically need to send sets of pages to payroll and the studio. Many TiM Templates already have "Payroll Company" and "Studio/Prod. Co." Tags applied by default.
You can customize the labels for the purple, green, pink, and black Export Tags, to define sets of pages that might need to be exported to other recipients besides the Payroll Company or Studio (for example, Unions or Health Officers).
NOTE: If you do not create Custom Export Tags, the purple, green, pink, and black Export Tags will remain labeled as "Tag [#]". It is up to you and your workflow if you would like or need to use all of the Export Tags.
How to create or modify Custom Export Tags via Tag Setup:
- From either your Company Library* or Startwork Templates, select "Tag Setup."
- A pop up window will appear.
- As described above, you will see that the labels "Payroll Company" and "Studio/Production Company" are not editable. Use the four other spaces provided to create or modify the labels for Custom Tags.
- Click "Save."
Once you save, the Export Tag labels in the Builder and the Approval Pipeline will update with the newly assigned names!
Friendly Reminder: If you're revising the labels for Export Tags, you might need to re-assign those Tags within your Startwork Templates! For instructions, see: How to apply or revise Export Tags
*NOTE: Export Tags set within a Company Library automatically sync with each Project. Export Tags set at the Company level can be edited on a Project-by-Project basis by revising the Export Tags within a Project's Startwork Templates.
