In TiM, Tags are used to indicate specific pages of a Startwork packet that will need to be pulled and sent to a corresponding recipient later on (like the Payroll Company, a union/guild, an insurance company, the Production Office, etc.).
The Approval Pipeline is where you use Tags to pull pages from submitted Packets. After an employee submits Startwork, you can select their packet and then click the button for the Tag you'd like to use. Only the pages of that packet that have the corresponding Tag will be pulled, combined into a PDF, and sent to the recipient you designate. You can send Tagged pages from up to 50 packets at once!
The Tags named "Send to Payroll" (orange) and "Send to Studio/Production Company" (blue) are pre-set in TiM.
The other Tag names are customizable!
How to customize Tag names using Tag Setup:
- From either your Company Library or Startwork Templates, click "Tag Setup."
NOTE: Tags set within Company Library with automatically sync with each Project. You can override the sync by editing your Tag names at the Project level from Startwork Templates.
- A pop up window will appear. You will see that "Send to Payroll" and "Send to Studio/Prod Co" are not editable.
- Use the spaces provided to name your other Tags.
NOTE: If you do not customize Tag names, they will remain as "Tag [#]". It is up to you and your workflow whether you use all of the Tags.
- Click "Save."
Once you save, the Tag names in the Builder and the Approval Pipeline will be updated!
