Your approval workflow in TiM is defined by the Approval Signature Fields applied within your Startwork Templates.
When Approval Signature Fields are applied to packets, corresponding approval columns appear in the Approval Pipeline.
To allow people to approve Startwork from the Approval Pipeline, they must be granted an Approval Permission that corresponds with an applied Approval Signature Field.
An Approver's Signature will appear wherever their corresponding Approval Signature Field has been applied within each Packet's Template.
Build your approval workflow in two steps:
- Determine who will need to sign Startwork and on what forms their signatures will need to appear, and apply Approval Signature Fields to Startwork Templates wherever an approver's signature needs to appear.
- Grant Approval Permissions to team members that correspond with the type of Approval Signature Fields you've applied to your Startwork Templates.
Common Issues:
- If an Approval Permission is granted, but the corresponding Approval Signature Field has not been applied within a Packet Template, that Permission will be inactive.
- If an Approval Signature Field has been applied to a Packet Template, but no one has been granted the corresponding Permission, no one will be able to approve that Packet.
