You may have noticed that when completing an Invite in TiM, if you select the checkbox next to "Will be paid as Loan-out for this production," the checkbox next to "Do not include a Form I-9 in this employee's Startwork packet" is also selected automatically (see image below).
This is the default setting because typically, employees who are hired as Loan-Outs are not required to submit an I-9.
However, some productions want to collect an I-9 from all employees, regardless if they are being onboarded as a Loan-Out or an individual.
Therefore, you can change the default setting so Loan-Out hires are required to submit an I-9. This selection can be set at the Company level, so all Projects housed within a Company Account will require I-9s from Loan-Outs by default, or on a per-Project basis.
NOTE: An Inviter can override this Form I-9 default at the time of Invite if necessary.
How to update Company-level Form I-9 Settings:
Updating your Company's Form I-9 settings will automatically update each Project's default Form I-9 settings in real time. Form I-9 settings can be modified on a per Project basis if necessary (see "How to update Project-level Form I-9 Settings" below).
NOTE: An Inviter can override the Project-level default at the time of Invite if necessary.
- From your Company dashboard, select "Company Settings."
- Select "Form I-9 Settings."
- Select the "Yes" radio button.
