What is a Pick Up Code?

NOTE: Pick Up Codes are not required or available for Media Services clients.

A Pick Up Code is a password that a batch recipient is required to enter to download a batch of Startwork. Requiring a Pick Up Code ensures that only intended recipients can download completed Startwork documents. A Pick Up Code can be any combination of letters, numbers, or characters.

Pick Up Codes are set per Project. You can define a Pick Up Code within a Project's Production Info or within the Approval Pipeline (see images below).

• People with "Approve Startwork as: Startwork Gatekeeper" or "Approve Startwork as: Production Accountant" Permissions can set a Project's Pick Up Code from the Approval Pipeline.
• People with "Edit: Production Info" Permissions can set a Project's Pick Up Code from Production Info. 

Pick Up Codes can be changed at any time. When a Pick Up Code is changed, the new Pick Up Code will apply to all active download links.

TiM does not automatically relay Pick Up Codes to recipients. Production should securely relay Pick Up Codes to recipients outside of TiM.
