If your I-9 is pending verification in TIM, you will see the following message within your TiM Account:
Select "Click here to see who can verify your I-9" to see a list of the people on the Project who are able to verify your I-9 within TiM.
To allow your I-9 to be verified, you will need to show your valid ID documents to the verifier so they can complete Section 2 of your I-9.
The most common forms of documentation are a Driver's License and Social Security Card presented together, or a U.S. Passport. Click here for a complete list of acceptable documentation.
According to the USCIS, an employer cannot dictate which of those documents an employee may provide for verification.
FYI: It is our understanding that per the USCIS, Form I-9 verification flexibilities will end on July 31st, 2023, and when these flexibilities end, employers will need to revert to pre-COVID requirements, including physically examining ID documents in order to perform verification.
