The Verify I-9 Permission allows a person to verify I-9s for other people on the Project.
NOTE: Per USCIS regulations, a person cannot verify their own I-9.
Select Department Only if you'd like to limit the person to only verify I-9s for people within their own department.
Select Whole Crew if you'd like the person to verify I-9s for everyone connected to the Project.
Example:
Amanda Skeep is a Company Electric with Verify I-9: Department Only Permissions. Pictured below is what Amanda can see in Crew Management with this type of Permission.
- Amanda can only see records for the people within her own department.
- Amanda can see a red "Verify I-9" button for anyone within her own department whose I-9 needs verification.
- Amanda can see the Startwork Status for each person within her own department.
- Amanda can see the type of packet each person has received within her own department.
Pro Tip: If a person with "Verify I-9" Permissions also has access to the Approval Pipeline, they will be able to verify I-9s from either Crew Management or the Approval Pipeline; red "Verify I-9" buttons will appear in both places. For more information, see: Combinations of Permissions.
