Box Kit and Allowances (Box/Kit Rental, Computer Allowance, Car Allowance, Cell Allowance, Meal Allowance, Living Allowance, Production Fee, Per Diem) Viewing Permission

The Box Kit and Allowances Viewing Permission allows pages of a Startwork Template to show or hide based on the different Allowances granted to the employee. 

The Box Kit and Allowances Viewing Permission is controlled from Employment Details, by the selections made by production / an Inviter.

Box Kit and Allowances options in TiM include:*

• "Box/Kit Rental" refers to the stipend granted to an employee who uses their own tools and materials during work. In TiM, "Box/Kit Rental" does not include a Computer Allowance, which is its own item. 
• "Computer Allowance" refers to the stipend granted to an employee who uses their own computer or laptop to accomplish work.
• "Car Allowance" refers to the stipend granted to an employee who uses their own vehicle to accomplish work.
• "Cell Allowance" refers to the stipend granted to an employee who uses their own cell phone to accomplish work.
• "Meal Allowance" refers to the stipend granted to employees to specifically cover the cost of their meal(s), typically when production is not providing catering.
• "Living Allowance" refers to the stipend granted to employees to specifically cover the cost of their hotel or lodging, typically when production is not providing lodging on distant shoots.
• "Production Fee" refers to a stipend often granted to DGA members upon completion of a Project. 
• "Per Diem" refers to a daily stipend granted to employees to cover various daily expenses not covered by production, which may include meals and/or lodging.

In the Builder, the Box Kit and Allowances Viewing Permission has several sub-selections, which is helpful if you have forms that should only be shared if an employee is being granted specific types of allowances.

Common examples:

• Select the checkboxes for "Box/Kit Rental" and "Computer Allowance" if the page selected is a Box/Kit Rental Rider that should only be completed by employees granted a Box/Kit Rental, so they are prompted to provide their inventory list and total value.
• Select the checkbox for "Car Allowance" if the page selected is a Car Allowance Rider that needs to be completed by employees granted a Car Allowance, so they are prompted to provide the make and model info for their vehicle.
